The pendant is 49mm in length and 30mm at its widest. It is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Rimu Area, just South of Hokitika, on the West Coast of the South Island. It is shaped on the back so that it is comforting to rub while being worn.
The Hei Matau has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.
