The pendant is 62mm high and 87mm long. It is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Marsden Valley in the Paroa Area just outside of Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island. It is the Putiputi Pounamu - The 'Marsden Flower Jade' and is called this because of the intense green and unique golden, yellow, orange or creamy colours (the flower) in the stone which is found in the Marsden Area.
This Breastplate has a hand platted, round, 4-plait cord which is extremely strong and made to be worn all the time - even in any kind of water.
It can be worn either way for two different looks. One side with the raw crust of the stone showing the Putiputi colours. The other side more smooth and carved.
Pendant Meaning: The Breastplate gives the wearer strength and protects them on their journey through life.
