The pendant is 35mm in length and 47mm at its widest.
This Whale Tail is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Arahura River which runs between Greymouth and Hokitika, on the West Coast of the South Island.
The pendant has a waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water. It is extremely strong. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.
Pendant Meaning: The Whale tail gives the wearer strength in their life because the whale is such a powerful mammal. It indicates the support often shown by dolphins and whales to humans in distress. Therefore it is a symbol of protection. It also represents speed, confidence, sensitivity and the bond between animal and human.
The whale tail signifies that you like being out in nature doing things and looking after the environment - respect for the sea and nature. It is also a good luck charm providing safe passage over water.
