The Mere is 111mm in length and 39mm at its widest.
This Mere is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Marsden Valley in the Paroa area just outside of Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island. It is the 'Marsden Flower Jade' and is called this due to the unique golden colours (the flower) in the stone which is found in the Marsden Area.
The Mere has a waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water. It is extremely strong and is made to be worn all the time. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.
The Mere is the war club that gives the wearer strength and courage to face, get through, do and achieve anything in their life.
It also symbolises authority as it was given as a person progressed up the ranks and achieved respect of people and became leaders.
