The Hei Tiki is 68mm in length and 60mm at its widest.

This Tiki is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Marsden Valley in the Paroa Area just outside of Greymouth, on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand.

The pendant has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time.   It is four strands of cord that have been hand platted into a special, round, 4-plait.  It can be worn all the time - even in any kind of water.  The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.

Pendant Meaning:   The Hei Tiki is an ancestral piece worn in remembrance of past ancestors and Whanau/family members.

It is thought to hold the power (Mana) of previous owners and aid the person who wears it.
