The pounamu is 39mm in length and 9mm in wideand approximately 6mm thick. It is carved from pounamu collected from the South Westland Area on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand.
The cord is extremely strong as it is four strands of 1.4mm thick cord that have been hand platted into a special, round, 4-plait cord. The bracelet cord is adjustable. When adjusted out fully the cord is 130mm in length but when shortened up is only 65mm in length.
The bracelet has been made so that it can be worn ALL the time and does not need to be taken off at all - even when you go in any kind of water.
