These are a pair of pendants that have been carved from the same slice of pounamu.

The Double Koru is 38mm in diameter.   The Toki is 58mm in length and 20mm at its widest.

The Pounamu for these pendants was collected from the Rimu Area just South of Hokitika on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand.

Pendant Meaning:  In the Double Koru one Koru represents the person wearing the Toki and the other Koru represents the person wearing the Koru.  Like the two Koru it shows their lives coming together in love, friendship and harmony for life.  The Porohita/disc shape around the outside means that in life the opportunities are endless and with the love and support of the other person the wearer can do and achieve anything.

The Toki has a special carving on the front.  It has the wearer represented as a Hei Matau/hook coming down into a Koru.  The Hei Matau/hook gives the wearer strength and determination.  It brings peace, prosperity and good health. It also provide the wearer with a safe journey through life - both a safe physical journey, especially over water and also helps them get through any hardships and tough times they may face.

Coming up and around with the wearers Koru is another Koru to represent the person who wears the Koru.  Like the two Koru it shows the two wearers lives coming together  in love, friendship and harmony.

These pair have an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendants can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water.  The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pullin
