The Pikorua is 86mm wide and 36mm at its highest. It is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Marsden Valley in the Paroa area, just outside of Greymouth, on the West Coast of the South Island.
The Pikorua has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water. It has four strands of cord that have been hand platted into a special, round, 4-plait. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.
The Pikorua / twist represents the paths of life and love, and the joining of lives in love or friendship for eternity. Though sometimes you will be apart from each other you will always come back together again.
