The Mere is 106mm in length and 40mm at its widest.

It is carved from pounamu we have collected from the South Westland Area on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

The Mere is mounted on a recycled Rimu base.  The base is 147mm in length, 63mm wide and stands 15mm high.  The Mere can be easily taken off the base or rested back on between the two copper pins.

The Mere has a waxed nylon cord so it can be worn as a pendant.  If worn as a pendant it can be worn ALL the time.  The cord is extremely strong and is made to be worn all the time - even in any kind of water. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.

Pendant  Meaning:  The Mere is the war club that gives the wearer strength and courage to face, get through, do and achieve anything in their life.

It also symbolises authority as it was given as a person progressed up the ranks and achieved respect of people and became leaders.
