The triple spiral pendant is 56mm across and 54mm in height. It has been carved from pounamu we have collected from the Rimu Area just South of Hokitika, on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand.
The back of the pendant is smooth.
The triple spiral has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water. It is four strands of cord that have been hand platted into a special, round, 4-plait. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.
Pendant Meaning: The triple spiral shows three coming together. Each spiral can represent a person. Or an ancestors, the present generation and the future generations - your elders, yourselves and your children and/or grandchildren. The spiralling shows your lives coming together in love, friendship and harmony.
The spirals can also represent the family as a whole, an individual person, an event, time, place, accomplishment or achievement that has happened in your life. It is up to you what meaning you put to each spiral.
