The Porohita is 22mm in diameter and approx. 6mm thick. Both sides of the Porohita are shaped/scalloped/concave and are smooth so that they are comforting to rub while being worn. It has the cord sitting in a special channel that runs right around the outside of the Porohita/disc.
The Porohita is carved from pounamu we have collected from the Marsden Valley in the Paroa area just outside of Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand.
The Porohita has an extremely strong, waxed nylon cord so the pendant can be worn ALL the time - even in any kind of water. The cord is adjustable by pinching the special knots between your thumb and finger and pulling.
Pendant Meaning: The Porohita / disc represents the circle of life which has no beginning or end. In life the opportunities are endless so with this pendant you can achieve whatever you want to in life.
